Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) – secure & convenient vehicle access
AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions’ Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system offers effortless locking and unlocking of doors and the trunk via remote control. It also manages theft protection and immobilizer functions while enabling extra comfort features like opening/closing windows, sunroofs, sliding doors, and tailgates.
The system includes a control unit with an integrated or external RF receiver and can be seamlessly integrated into the central body control unit.
For added convenience, an optional bidirectional communication link between the vehicle and the key provides visual confirmation (e.g., LED signal) of successful locking or unlocking.
Passive access system
Passive access systems (PASE) – hands-free vehicle entry & start
AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions’ Passive Access System (PASE) takes convenience beyond classic Remote Keyless Entry (RKE). It enables hands-free vehicle access and engine start without taking the key out of your pocket or bag.
Using LF radio signals, the system detects the PASE key in and around the vehicle. As you approach, it can automatically unlock doors and the trunk, activate personalized driver settings, and even trigger welcome lighting. Once inside, the engine starts easily with the start-stop button.
Compared to traditional RKE, PASE adds LF antennas and enhanced comfort features like:
- Welcome light
- Approach unlock
- Walk-away locking
PASE technology can also integrate into wearables, making your smartwatch or fitness tracker an additional key.
For maximum convenience, it can be combined with smart autonomous door technology and the Power Liftgate ECU for fully automated vehicle access.
Smartphone & tablet vehicle access – the future of digital keys
AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions redefines vehicle access with smart device integration, eliminating the need for traditional keys. Designed for a future-ready mobile society, our digital key solutions provide a seamless and secure user experience.
The virtual key is issued from the OEM backend or a service provider—ideal for corporate fleets, car-sharing services, and shared mobility solutions—and securely transferred to the driver’s smartphone or tablet.
Once an authorized virtual key is detected, communication between the vehicle and the device takes place via Bluetooth® and NFC, instantly granting access to unlock the doors and start the engine.
