Recap of Our Technologies and Innovations for the Railway Industry
From September 24-27, 2024, Continental Engineering Services (CES) participated in the prestigious InnoTrans 2024 fair in Berlin, Germany. As part of the broader Continental booth, CES showcased cutting-edge technologies and engaged with global industry leaders in the railway sector. This year’s InnoTrans was an opportunity to highlight how CES is shaping the future of railway interiors and safety systems.
Immersive Demonstrations: A Full-Sized Train Experience

At the heart of our participation was an impressive live train exhibit, where visitors could directly experience CES innovations in action. Technologies like our Driver Attention Assistance System and the head-up display were on full display, enhancing both operator safety and passenger comfort. These technologies enhance real-time monitoring and situational awareness, ensuring safer and more efficient train operations. Visitors were able to see, hear, and feel the impact of these systems through live demonstrations.

Thought Leadership and Expert Engagement
Our participation wasn’t just about showcasing products; CES also contributed to the industry’s knowledge pool through two engaging lectures.
The first, titled “Continental Engineering Services und Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF): Innovative Zusammenarbeit für mehr Sicherheit”, was a collaboration with the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF). Speakers Lothar Wolf (VGF), Achim Voigt (CES), and Matthias Clemenz (CES) discussed how their partnership is driving advancements in railway safety.
The second lecture, led by Rene Wiesner, Senior Engineer Cybersecurity and Privacy at CES, focused on the increasingly critical issue of Cybersecurity for Railway. As railway systems become more digitized, securing these networks from potential threats has become paramount, and CES is at the forefront of developing these solutions.
A Bright Future for Railway Innovation
