From safety to satisfaction:
ADAS that drives Innovation.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have revolutionized vehicle safety and efficiency.Beyond regulatory compliance, these features have become a key factor in customer satisfactionand brand loyalty. For OEMs and suppliers, ADAS technology is a differentiator and driver ofinnovation. While the automotive industry served as the launch pad for this technology, it is nowrapidly expanding into other mobility sectors.
Our driver assistance systems cover the full range of SAE Level 2 safety and cruising functions. Below are some examples—please contact us for comprehensive information.
Emergency Brake Assist. Enhanced safety through automated braking.
The EmergencyBrake Assist (EBA) helps prevent rear-end collisions by detecting critical situations and automatically initiating braking if the driver fails to respond in time. This function is complemented by the forward collision assist, which provides acoustic and visual warnings before a situation becomes critical.
Lateral Safety Assist. More safety and comfort with lane supervision.
The Lateral Guidance Assist (LGA) system enhances driving comfort and reduces the risk of accidents by supporting the driver with lateral vehicle control. This includes
- Lane and road departure warning
- Lane and road departure protection with steering intervention
- Lateral guidance assist with continuous lane centering
Lane Change Assist. Improved awareness for smooth lane changes.
The Lane Change Assist (LCA) continuously monitors adjacent lanes using radar sensors. If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot or approaching at high relative speed, the system alerts the driver through visual or acoustic signals—helping to prevent side collisions during lane changes.
Adaptive Cruise Control. Smart speed management for safer, comfortable driving.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) operates like a traditional cruise control system in open-loop conditions but with enhanced intelligence. When the vehicle approaches a slower-moving car ahead, the ACC automatically adjusts speed using the powertrain and brakes to maintain the driver’s selected following distance—ensuring smoother traffic flow and increased safety on the road.
Speed Limit Assist. Stay informed and drive within legal speed.
The Speed Limit Assist (SLA) feature detects both implicit and explicit speed limit signs using Traffic Sign Assist (TSA) technology. It informs the driver of the maximum allowable speed, enhancing comfort by integrating seamlessly with other ADAS features like ACC. SLA also boosts safety by issuing timely alerts in potentially dangerous overspeeding situations.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert / Braking. Enhanced safety when reversing out of parking spaces.
The Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Braking (RCTA/B) system provides crucial support during everyday reversing maneuvers. When the driver prepares to back up or is already reversing, RCTA/B actively monitors the areas behind and to both sides of the vehicle for approaching cross traffic. If a potential collision is detected, the system issues visual and acoustic warnings to alert the driver. Should the driver fail to respond, automatic braking intervenes to prevent or mitigate an impact—offering greater confidence and safety in busy parking environments.
