Regulatory readiness: AIS-173 in focus.
India has introduced AIS-173, a new standard requiring electrified M and N category vehicles to be equipped with AVAS. The regulation, aligned with UN Regulation No. 138, is expected to come into force by 2027, giving OEMs a limited window to integrate and validate compliant solutions.
