In an era where climate protection is paramount, AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions is at the forefront of innovative solutions that promote a better future. A current AUMOVIO pilot project aims to meet the requirements of the new EU Deforestation-free products Regulation (EUDR) by ensuring sustainability throughout the entire supply chain.
What is EUDR?
The European Union Deforestation-free products Regulation (EUDR) is a new regulation aimed at preventing deforestation by risk assessment process of import / export products from the EU. This regulation will come into effect in the 30th of December 2025 and requires companies to review their supply chains sustainability, ensuring that no products contribute to illegal deforestation.
The 2024 edition, which earned this award, presented a rich variety of projects and initiatives demonstrating how engineering solutions can create real-world environmental and social impact. By combining innovation, and human-centered thinking, the magazine reflects the holistic approach that defines our work.
The importance of the EUDR for climate protection
The EUDR plays a crucial role in global climate protection by reducing deforestation and thus lowering CO² emissions. By complying with this regulation, companies help conserve natural resources and preserve biodiversity.

- Promoting an ethical Supply Chain: the EUDR encourages companies to implement ethical practices throughout their supply chain.
- Reducing the Carbon Footprint: avoiding deforestation significantly reduces CO² emissions.
- Preserving Biodiversity: Protecting forests helps maintain biodiversity.

Practical applications at AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions
AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions is involved in piloting, on behalf of the AUMOVIO group, this project to meet the EUDR requirements. This project has two main goals: developing in-house solutions to identify products that fall under the new regulation and develop an in-house EUDR solution and gradually implemented through the company group.
- Identifying products: developing methods to identify products that fall under the EUDR.
- Phased implementation: Gradually implementing the “EUDR solution” (process / method / tool) closely connected to supply chain.
Natural rubber and the EUDR
A particular focus is on natural rubber. We ensure that the consumption of natural rubber does not increase but remains at current levels to meet the EUDR requirements.
Collaboration with suppliers
To meet the EUDR requirements, we work closely with our suppliers. Many contracts are currently being concluded to ensure that the entire supply chain, including customers in the EU, is compliant.
Continuous risk assessment
We primarily develop embedded electronic automotive solutions and continuously conduct risk assessments to meet the EUDR requirements and address sustainability issues.
Support from small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need to comply with the EUDR regulations by reviewing and verifying their processes to provide the necessary information within the value chain. We support its suppliers in preparing for these requirements.
What customers can expect from us
We are implementing measures to comply with due diligence obligations. Customers can benefit from enhanced product quality that is fully EUDR compliant and positively impacts sustainability.
Compliance criteria for rubber products
Natural rubber products must prove that they have not caused deforestation or forest degradation since 2020. This includes a due diligence statement with associated documentation (product characterization, geolocation data…) to comply with legal obligations under EU law.
